Craving for sweets? Leave it to me! When he is not devouring sweets, he is developing measurement techniques to characterize the thermodynamic and transport properties of concentrated electrolytes.
Yeonggeon Choi (최영건)

Master Student
B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering, Seoul National University
yg.choi
snu.ac.kr
Yeonggeon enjoys acquiring new knowledge without limiting himself to a specific field. So far in the SD Kang Lab, Yeonggeon has been working on elucidating the transport merit of electrolytes, as required for enabling the use of thicker electrodes in batteries. In his free time, he likes reading novels and watching movies.
Euijin Yang (양의진)

Master Student
B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering, Seoul National University

Euijin is passionate about discovering new perspectives, not only in research but also in is everyday life. Mirroring this passion is his hobby in photography, where he discovers beauty from ordinary scenes by reconstructing them through original compositions and colors. Just like how his photographs stem from careful observations out of the ordinary, Euijin is convinced that carefully understanding a wide range of fields would eventually lead to discovering unique connections and innovative perspectives. Euijin is working on measuring ion-electron coupling in mixed conductors. Euijin is also making a new type of semiconductor device based on interfacial coupling.
Taekyoon Lee (이택윤)

Master Student
B.S in Materials Science and Engineering, Seoul National University
tystarme
snu.ac.kr
Taekyoon values diversifying his experience, which is why he likes to explore new things. Taekyoon is currently into yacht sailing, tennis, and weight training. If you have any interesting topics, research or leisure, please don't hesitate to share them with me! In the lab, Taekyoon is working on measuring the ion-elective transport properties of membranes. Taekyoon also has an interest in solid-state batteries.
Kiuk Song (송기욱)

Master Student
B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering, Korea University
sko8025
snu.ac.kr
Kiuk is fascinated in electrochemistry. Currently, he is working on solid-state batteries, with a focus on using host structures. In his free time, Kiuk mostly enjoys solitary activities like reading books, solving Sudoku puzzles, and occasionally swimming.
Camille Pelletier

Master Student
Licence (equivalent) in General Engineering (Materials) at IMT Mines Alès
camille.38
snu.ac.kr
Camille began pursuing science because of her hunger to understand the world. After discovering the world of Li-ion batteries in high school, Camille pursued this interest until now, including an internship on spray-coating hybrid batteries. Camille is also interested in polymers and aims to continue combining these fields in research. Beyond academics, Camille is a nature lover. Hiking, sleeping, and spending time in the mountains, surrounded by beautiful scenery and close people, is what Camille would call a perfect weekend. Camille likes to challenge herself and get out of her comfort zone; it has brought her to Seoul National University, 9,000 km away from homeland, France.
Sojeong Lee (이소정)

Master Student (Co-advised@KIST Jeonbuk)
B.S in Chemical Engineering, Kyung Hee University
sojung514
snu.ac.kr
Sojeong is exploring organic battery cathode materials. Specifically, she is designing an anion-reversible electrode material that could be used as an electrochemical reference. She is jointly advised by Dr. Ji Eon Kwon at KIST Jeonbuk. Recently, Sojeong has been enjoying running. The reward after a tough session keeps her coming back. She hopes to bring that same mindset to her research -- push through the hard parts and enjoy the progress.
Seoyeon Jeong (정서연)

Master Student
B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering, Seoul National University
seoyeonimnida
snu.ac.kr
Seoyeon is fascinated by the microscopic structures of materials, especially including battery electrodes. She previously worked with first-principles calculations to investigate their properties. She values resilience and believes in learning through failure, a mindset she developed while serving as a PM for the World Solar Challenge team. Outside of research, she enjoys watching motorsports and driving.
